What is the best way is flatten Antique Maps? - antique maps of ireland

Does anyone know the best way, the old cards that will not spoil the flat map?
If less than 150 years, and I did not use a color of the iron in the past. But hit make older cards and little about the color?
Do you have a map of 1720 Seutter, with a slight bend, but it is in full color. Ideas?

So, if I do, it's there is a map or an atlas of the collectors who know how long-term store of maps and atlases in Canberra?
Thank you Rodger

If you are serious about the flattening of an old map, I take him to a professional. NO STEAM IRON card, so it probably contains 1720 brands and steam-press, which always tends to ruin the card, especially if you have green (which bleed through in one's prime-time).

From the curve is a natural bend or curve, which is the result of mismanagement? Some maps are published in an atlas, that is normal to have a curve in it.

It also depends on what kind of paper is the card if a real map of 1720 (no reproductions) and then a moderate humidity and direct sunlight will hold. A framework completely blocked UV-light and do not place that can strike, which is in direct sunlight, depreciation and decomposition of the map quickly.

If you plan to store out of sight, it was as flat as possible. Let it not in a subway map. It would be worth your time to make a box that the ability to store cards offered by this to get tickets.

I combined 2 websitesto retailers on old maps in the Canberra region.
